Herpes

Genital Herpes is a disease caused by the Herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) usually causes oral Herpes. Symptoms are commonly known as cold sores or fever blisters. In the past, HSV-1 was not known to cause genital Herpes, but that is changing, especially among people who begin having sex at a young age.

Type 2 (HSV-2) usually causes genital Herpes. When it's active, it travels to the surface of the infected area and makes copies of itself, this is called shedding. It is during this time that the virus can rub off onto another person. Then the virus travels back down the nerve, where it lies dormant for a while.

This is the early dectection screening for Herpes, that identifies IgM antibodies which are present during the early stages of an Infection.

Herpes IgG

This is the Herpes Screening t q hat will determine whether you have Herpes Type 1 and/or Herpes Type 2.

The Herpes Testing covers all your Herpes testing needs. STD Testing is needed whether or not you are showing any symptoms. Many people may be infected with an STD and not show any signs.
